Founder, entrepreneur and long-term investor · Berlin, Germany

“I bought my first shares in the early 2010s, when most people thought I was already too late. This site is my attempt to give you, in months, what took me more than a decade to learn.” — Christoph

Background

Christoph is an entrepreneur from Berlin. For five years he ran Panamono, a B2B marketing agency that worked with several hundred clients. That work gave him an unusual view into how companies actually earn money, and into how their founders think about saving, investing and protecting what they build.

He has held stakes in start-ups, including the Berlin fashion label Haderlump, and now works in AI software. He is co-founder ofaidvise, an upcoming firm that aims to give entrepreneurs and families with roughly €3–30 million in net worth access to the kind of investment strategy and tax structuring that is usually reserved for much larger family offices. aidvise has not launched yet.

Investing since the early 2010s

His first real investment was in Apple, around 2010–2011, when many people felt the stock had already run too far. In 2017 he bought Tesla. Later, Bitcoin became his main focus. He still holds all three.

That sounds better on paper than it felt at the time. His most expensive lesson was not a bad pick but selling good ones too early.

“Looking back, everyone would have bought Bitcoin in 2014. Living through it is something else. Holding an investment for years while it swings hard is far more difficult than it looks on a chart.”

That experience shapes how he writes: less about which asset to buy, more about how to hold a position, when not to sell, and which alternatives to selling exist, such as borrowing against assets, together with the risks those alternatives carry.

What he believes, clearly labeled as opinion

Christoph expects Western currencies to lose purchasing power substantially over the next 10–20 years, driven by public debt, money creation, energy costs and inefficient states. In his view this pushes up the price of scarce assets, which is why Bitcoin is his core topic.

He is sceptical of residential property as an investment for himself: it takes a lot of management, and he expects many homes to come onto the market as older generations sell, often to buyers who cannot afford today’s prices.

These are personal convictions, not forecasts you should rely on. Articles on this site present the evidence and the strongest counterarguments, and they mark where the author’s view begins.

Why this site exists

Most people learn about money the slow way: by making mistakes with real money. The goal of this site is to compress that process, so readers can reach in a shorter time the understanding Christoph built over more than a decade of investing and years of conversations with entrepreneurs.

How the articles are made

  • Topics, positions and the practical experience behind each article come from Christoph.
  • AI tools help to research, structure and draft. See the AI policy.
  • Christoph reads, checks and approves each article before it is published under his name. Until then, an article is labeled as an editorial draft.
  • Claims link to sources you can check. Errors are corrected visibly; you canreport one here.

What he is not

Christoph is not a licensed financial, investment or tax adviser. Everything on this site is general education. It does not take your situation, country or tax position into account and is not a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
